What is Home‑Start Hampshire?
Home‑Start Hampshire is a local charity supporting families with young children who may be finding life difficult. We offer confidential support to parents and carers, either through weekly 1-1 visits in the family home, or in small group settings (where available). Our aim is simple: to help families feel more confident, happier and better able to cope during challenging times.
How we help families
Kind, practical support. Our trained volunteers offer non‑judgemental support, including:
- Someone to talk to who listens and understands
- Practical help with day‑to‑day routines, alongside you
- Reassurance and encouragement when parenting feels overwhelming
- Support and guidance to access other services
We also run weekly community groups, where families can:
- Access additional support
- Meet other parents and carers
- Enjoy guided playtime for children
We support families who may be experiencing:
- Loneliness, isolation or a lack of family support
- Postnatal depression, anxiety or other health concerns
- Multiple pressures such as housing, finances or relationship changes
Tailored to your family
Every family is different. Our support is shaped around what matters most to you and your family.
