Christmas Card Project

Please help us spread Christmas joy to care home residents across Hampshire

We are looking for volunteers of all ages to help us by sending Christmas cards to older people living in local care homes.

Please send handmade cards if possible. Make your own by drawing, painting, sewing, papercrafts etc, or use pictures from magazines or old Christmas card fronts. Or contact us and we can email you one of our Christmas card designs to print out and colour in.

We encourage you to write a short message inside your card, for example about:

  • the picture on your card
  • a Christmas tradition you enjoy
  • your favourite Christmas food

Please keep the information general and do not include any personal or identifiable details about yourself or others.

Please sign the card using your first name only or group name (but not both) or add a general sign off if you prefer (eg “a local resident”).

For children, please also write the age of the child who made the card if you can.

Ideas for messages:

  • Thinking of you at Christmas
  • I hope you like this picture of….
  • My favourite Christmas food is….
  • My favourite thing about Christmas is….

When your card is ready to send, please email us at: hampshire@embracingage.org.uk
or phone 07577 945106 and we will let you know where to deliver or post your Christmas card(s).
